RC SCALE SUSPENSION SIMULATION KIT

Add realism to your rc model by giving it true 1:1 suspension behavior. Simulate weight and adjust the suspension to your liking on the fly.

Included in the kit:

The SS unit comes with 1 power input and 4 servo outputs
Additionally it has a 7 pin expansion connector for extra features like ride height control
We also provide 2 servo extension cables (can be used to source servo plugs for the extra features or to extend servo cables)
USB cable (for updating the firmware )

Not included:

In most cases you'll need a BEC (10A or 20A at 6V)
4 1/10 servos (except for the Redcat lowriders)
You'll need to 3D print servo brackets to attach them to the chassis (or order them from us for drift models).

3D files for various RC cars are supplied with every purchase

For every type of scale RC model:

Each module can be used in these very different RC model types:

Drift cars - used for drift cars and on-road models, driven on smooth surfaces. Reacts to acceleration forces.
Crawlers - used in off road vehicles. This firmware reacts to uneven surfaces and bumps in the road.
1/24 scale models- This firmware was made to be used with the 1/24 3D printed chassis we designed (files are freely available here. You can use it to convert scale model kits and die cast bodies to active suspension RC.
Redcat 64 lowrider- A firmware specifically designed to work with the Redcat 64 lowrider.

Installation and Setup

Installation is different for each RC type, here's a very brief rundown of the procedure for each firmware:

Crawlers

Easiest to install on TRX4 or SCX10II as you will receive 3D printable files for servo brackets and mounts. Print them out and following the manual you will be able to package everything neatly. You will need a BEC (at least 20A) and 4 servos. With this firmware you can control the ride height of the truck with a radio channel.

Drift cars

Convert most of drift chassis to active suspension by also ordering the drift servo brackets or print them yourself. Video below shows this use case. You will need a BEC (at least 10A) and 4 servos.

Redcat 64 lowrider

Follow the wiring diagram in the manual to convert your Redcat 64 to SuperScale2020. You won't need anything more for the BASIC version of the firmware. For the unlocked version (more and fully supported features) a BEC or better servos are required.

1/24 3D Printable chassis

For the 3d printable 1/24 chassis we developed you have to use the respectful firmware. Follow the manual to assemble the chassis and use a die cast or resin cast body of your choice.

Features

The module comes with 6 dials controlling various aspects of the suspension.
These 6 dials are used to set upthe suspension you need for the build you are making. Make it stiff and dampened or soft and floaty.
